The Vilnius-based services center of Sweden’s financial group SEB has opened a technology unit in Kaunas.
The Kaunas office currently employs 20 people, but more jobs are planned in response to growing demand, SEB Bank said in a press release on Wednesday.
“As one of the largest IT employers in the Baltic region, we are constantly on the lookout for the best talent and new opportunities,” said Johan Forsberg, the SEB Group’s head of customer offerings in technology.
“We believe that our expansion into Kaunas will help us broaden our IT talent pool and better meet the needs of our employees,” he added.
SEB Global Services Vilnius was established in 2008 and now employs more than 1,700 people.
The center provides services such as IT systems development and maintenance, data science, robotic process automation, human resources management and administration, procurement processes and financial accounting, cash management, and more.
