As geopolitical tensions and technical dependencies escalate while simultaneously becoming increasingly interdependent, Europe’s policymakers and industry will meet on stage and off to discuss the greatest threats to European security, sovereignty, and resilience at Techritory 2026.

The 9th annual Techritory forum will take place on October 21-22, 2026, in Riga, Latvia, gathering over 600 speakers and guests – industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and innovators. This year’s main focus will be Europe’s digital security, sovereignty, and competitiveness.

Rather than serving as a passive showcase, Techritory 2026 will serve as a strategic engine for European and transatlantic cooperation, with a particular focus on Persian Gulf states. Across two main stages, interactive workshops, and high-level roundtables, participants will confront critical priorities from building true technological sovereignty and scaling defense tech to balancing AI-driven data center expansion with grid capacity. The forum will also tackle independent satellite networks, telecoms integration under the Digital Networks Act, the roadmap to 6G, and expanding digital partnerships across Eastern Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

“Nearly ten years ago, Techritory started as a showcase for future tech. Today, that future is here. We’ve grown from forecasting innovation to mobilizing real-world action, bringing decision-makers together to ensure emerging technology serves European security, strength, and progress,” says Neils Kalnins, Director of Techritory Ecosystem.

This year’s speaker lineup includes some of the most influential voices in global innovation, research, and politics, including Tomas Lamanauskas (Deputy Secretary-General of the ITU), Erzsébet Fitori (Executive Director of SNS JU), Yasushi Masaki (Deputy Secretary-General of the OECD), Peteris Ustubs (Director of Central Asia, Asia and Pacific, DG International Partnerships at the European Commission), and 80+ other industry leaders.

Reflecting Techritory’s expanding geopolitical footprint, the 2026 forum will host key international delegations, including official representatives from Moldova, the United Arab Emirates as well as representatives from Central Asia.

In an acknowledgment of technology’s increasingly critical impact on geopolitics, Techritory will formally sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Governments Summit Organization, highlighting its growing global reach. The agreement will establish a strategic framework for both organizations to combine their global platforms to advance technology development and deployment. The partnership aims to align global governance with rapid digital transformation, reinforcing both events as critical meeting grounds for governments, telecom leaders, researchers, and decision makers.

Registration is free of charge, and the complete forum agenda is available at www.techritory.com.

Techritory 2026 is organized by the Electronic Communications Office of Latvia, with LMT, DELSKA, Nordic Council of Ministers, and the Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development of Latvia as strategic partners.
