Ride-hailing platform Bolt introduces its first TapBox self-service screens at Riga Airport in Latvia, allowing passengers to conveniently and quickly order a ride without using the app. This solution greatly facilitates mobility for international travellers, especially those who are visiting Latvia for the first time or do not want to search for a suitable app immediately after their flight.
The Bolt TapBox self-service screens, which will be located at the exits of the E and C arrival terminals at Riga Airport, offer a simple solution – passengers must enter their destination, select a trip category (e.g., Economy, Premium, Kids, etc.), enter their phone number, and make a payment. They will then immediately receive a receipt showing the car’s registration plate number and approximate arrival time. All that is left to do is go to the designated pick-up point and start the journey. Payment can be made at the self-service screen by bank card.
“With the introduction of TapBox, we want to show that mobility should be accessible to everyone – regardless of whether the passenger has a smartphone, internet access, or an app. The airport is the first place where people get an impression of the country, and it is important to us that, from the moment of arrival, everyone has a simple and modern way to get to their destination. This is the first time such a solution has been introduced within Bolt, and we are thus continuing our mission to make cities more people-friendly,” emphasises Kristīne Bezerra-Kjerulfa, Bolt Manager in Latvia.
Riga Airport also underlines the benefits of the new solution: “We are always looking for ways to improve the passenger experience, and TapBox self-service screens are another step towards enabling travellers to reach their final destination faster and more conveniently after their flight. The collaboration with Bolt is in line with our goal of providing innovative services that make travellers’ everyday lives easier,” says Artūrs Saveļjevs, RIX Riga Airport Board Member.
TapBox self-service screens are part of Bolt’s strategy to provide more convenient and accessible mobility solutions at the airport. They not only serve travellers who do not have access to the app or the internet but also help reduce traffic jams and confusion at airport car parks.
